Chocolatey Pear Crumble

Ingredients:
For the filling
- 5 pears, cored and cut into 1/8-inch slices.
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
For the crumble topping
- 1 cup Bake Believe Semi-Sweet Baking Chips
- 2 cups almond flour
- ¾ cup sliced almonds
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ½ cup salted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9-inch round baking dish; set aside.
- Prepare the filling: Mix together pears, maple syrup, cornstarch, lemon juice, and almond extract; set aside.
- Prepare the topping: Combine almond flour, slices almonds, maple syrup, and melted butter. Mix thoroughly until stiff and combined. Stir in baking chips.
- Place pear mixture and all the juices into prepared dish, spreading to cover the bottom. Spoon on the crumble topping, fully covering the pears.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until juices are bubbling and crumble topping is golden. If topping starts browning too quickly, cover with aluminum foil while baking
- Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes before serving.
