Chocolatey Pear Crumble

Pear Crumble Dessert made with Bake Believe Baking Chips

Ingredients:

For the filling

  • 5 pears, cored and cut into 1/8-inch slices.
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract

For the crumble topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9-inch round baking dish; set aside.
  2. Prepare the filling: Mix together pears, maple syrup, cornstarch, lemon juice, and almond extract; set aside.
  3. Prepare the topping: Combine almond flour, slices almonds, maple syrup, and melted butter. Mix thoroughly until stiff and combined. Stir in baking chips.
  4. Place pear mixture and all the juices into prepared dish, spreading to cover the bottom. Spoon on the crumble topping, fully covering the pears.
  5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until juices are bubbling and crumble topping is golden. If topping starts browning too quickly, cover with aluminum foil while baking
  6. Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes before serving.
