Chocolate Candied Pecans

Chocolate Candied Pecans

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Bake Believe® Dark Chocolate Baking Chips
  • 10 ounces (about 2 ½ cups) pecan halves
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

 Instructions:

  1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Place baking sheet on a heat proof barrier, such as thick wooden cutting board or metal cooling rack.
  2. Place pecans, maple syrup and cinnamon in a large skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring often until the syrup starts to thicken and reduce, about 4 to 6 minutes. Be careful not to let the mixture burn.
  3. Pour onto the prepared baking pan in an even layer. Immediately sprinkle Bake Believe® Dark Chocolate Baking Chips on top. Let rest for 5 minutes then using a butter knife, spread the melted chocolate chips around. Sprinkle on salt and let mixture cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  4. Break into pieces and enjoy! Store leftovers in an airtight container in refrigerator.
