Bake Believe’s No Sugar Added, Gluten Free Dark Chocolate Hummus

  • ¼ cup Bake Believe® Dark Chocolate Baking Chips, divided
  • 1 can chickpeas, well drained
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 5 tablespoons maple syrup alternative, like Lakanto
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla


  1. Place the chickpeas in a small saucepan and cover with water. Place over medium heat and cook just until heated.
  2. Place the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in another small saucepan over medium-low heat and whisk until melted.
  3. Drain the chickpeas thoroughly and place in a food processor along with the melted chocolate mixture, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Add water to achieve your desired consistency.
  4. Enjoy right away or cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
